Christos Prevezanos, Founder & Principal

Established in 2008 and based in Los Angeles, Studio Preveza’s designers and architects create frameworks in which to fit a client’s aspirations. Through listening and responding organically, the team excels at finding the seed within an idea and cultivating a product, project or space that nurtures creativity. Across disciplines, the studio’s work reveals discerning respect for the past and perceptive insight into the present.

Our client relationships often span years, resulting in interiors that evolve through the events of a life. A Studio Preveza space brings together classicism, an innate awareness of art and symmetry, and custom pieces by small-scale fabricator

Founder and Principal Christos Prevezanos approaches design with a singular appreciation for color and line. Trained as an illustrator at Parsons School of Design in New York, Christos gathers references from old master palettes, classic and contemporary film, and Greco-Roman antiquity — among other sources. A first-generation American, his Greek heritage informs his aptitude for mingling ancient and modern materials, from terracotta ceramics to cast concrete.

Projects consist of custom homes for celebrities, fashion designers, writers and creatives, as well as commercial work including boutique hotels.

In 2018, the firm was awarded the California Preservation Award for the meticulous restoration and redesign of Los Angeles’ historic Villa Carlotta, where no two rooms share the same layout or furnishings. Farrow & Ball has relied on Studio Preveza as a member of their Design Advisory Council, and the U.S. State Department has worked with the firm to document and develop artisan communities. With each project, the studio brings together multiple ideas into an intuitive narrative that freely blends form and flow.
